B. Key Performance Areas |
To maintain Electrical & Mechanical system reliable by properly restoration of equipment after any stoppage incident with minm time |
To ensure adequacy of plant E&I , Mechanical system for plant production requirement as per ABP |
To ensure maintenance cost within ABP revenue budget |
To give inputs for PIP for up-gradation of the Electrical & Mechanical system for improvement in plant process control & operational needs |
To ensure zero accident in the area of responsibility |
To ensure maintenance of QMS, EMS & OHSAS systems in the dept |

C. Key Responsibilities |

Handling the E&I shift operation of plant(VCM,RP,Ball mill,tippler and MHS)
Hands-on experience on ABB DCS,Siemens DCS and Rockwell PLC.
Managerial skill to handle company employee and contract workmen.
Safety¨ To ensure implementation of safe working practices to achieve Zero accident goal¨ To attend departmental safety sub-committee meeting and implementation of corrective actions¨ To monitor and review safety performance toachieve the zero accident goal¨ To provide necessary resources for improving the safety in the work area¨ To ensure implementation of statutory safety procedures & rules¨ To take corrective action on safety observations and near misses¨ To ensure site verification by self before start of job where permits are required |
Equipment Reliability¨ Co-ordinate and execute maintenance activities as per operation priority to achieve equipment availability as per the plan¨ Execute the preventive, shut down maintenance in the given time frame with quality¨ To execute break down maintenance activities in the shortest possible time¨ Give the detail feed back of repairs and maintenance activities in CMMS¨ Responsible for internal control effectiveness monitoring for the processes in the domain of job responsibility¨ Responsible for the cleaning and house keeping activities for the area |
Maintenance cost
¨ To participate in preparation of maintenance budget of section with HOD for further planning cycle.
¨ Execute the maintenance job with optimum use of resources and minimize wastage to control the maintenance cost as per the ABP
¨ Monitor consumption of spares and repair expenditure to meet the ABP
To optimize and control overtime
