Purpose of the job:

Ensure availability of materials, spares and tools of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right time, at the right price, and from the right source, required for equipment, maintenance and operations of the manufacturing unit.

Job Description:

 

  • Organizing & expediting follow-up procedures by effectively managing the purchase coordination activities to ensure timely receipt of ordered materials.
  • Reviewing the emergency purchase requests and handling them for speedy procurement through purchase coordination in a cost-effective manner.
  • Placement of STOs to other plant for NM/SM & emergency stock transfer
  • Periodic mini-max review.
  • Implementation & maintain the TPM & 5s activity at store.
  • Improve satisfaction of internal customers through better coordination and zero stock outs.
  • Reviewing the stock positions for critical and key materials.
  • Continuously coordinate with the users to identify obsolete or surplus equipment and materials and plan for its effective disposal.
  • Measuring supplier performance using rating systems or predetermined standards and co-ordinate approval process for new suppliers
  • Resolving contractual disagreements with suppliers.
  • Coordinating with users, Stores and accounts to resolve payment problems of suppliers.
