Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Capex Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation to manage end-to-end execution of CAPEX projects related to E&I systems in a cement manufacturing environment. The role involves project planning, detailed engineering, procurement, execution, and commissioning, with a focus on safety, quality, timeline, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute CAPEX projects in line with process and operational needs of the cement plant.
- Coordinate with consultants for detailed engineering and ensure timely execution.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare budget estimates for new installations, upgrades, or refurbishments.
- Evaluate technical proposals, prepare BOQs, and perform techno-commercial analysis for vendor selection.
- Liaise with OEMs, contractors, and site teams for seamless execution, erection, and commissioning of equipment.
- Raise purchase requisitions, follow up on deliveries, and ensure technical compliance of supplies.
- Ensure integration of process equipment to achieve desired plant configurations.
- Maintain statutory compliance and obtain required project clearances.
- Monitor project progress through MIS reporting, reconcile project costs, and control expenditures.
- Drive cost optimization, energy efficiency, and safety initiatives.
- Support development and implementation of maintenance systems, calibration plans, and compliance protocols.
- Guide and develop site teams, ensure Nuvoco safety culture, and meet training and development goals.
Qualifications:
- B.E/Tech. in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in cement or heavy industrial project execution.
- Proven experience in CAPEX planning, procurement, erection, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and E&I systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of safety practices, quality standards, and budgetary controls.
