Executive- Safety

Job Description:

• To advise and assist the factory management in fulfillment of its obligations, prevention of personal injuries, maintaining safe and healthy working environment , compliance of statute & corporate requirements towards Health & Safety.
• To establish and implement Health & Safety Management System through a systematic approach, its monitoring &measurement for progress/continual improvement.
• To inculcate the Health & Safety Culture in the organization. To carry out plant safety inspections for plant area in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
• To advise on safety aspects in all job studies, and to carry out detailed job safety studies on selected jobs for plant activities. To conduct the training on Nuvoco H&S Guidelines for Officers and safety department personnel’s.
• To design and conduct the suitable training and educational program in collaboration with training & other departments related to health & safety.

• Conduct safety audits during and after any improvement projects/ new project and submit the reports to the HOD (Safety).

• To advise the purchase & stores department for procurement of good quality of personal protective equipment (PPEs) and inspection after procurement. Reporting and enquiry / investigation of incidents/ near miss/ dangerous occurrences to locate cause and render advise on measures to be adopted for removing the cause of incidents To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries and cause of incidents. 
• To Assist & monitor the compliance of Horizontal deployment/implementation of the CAPA
• To prepare the MIS for reporting of the H&S performance
