Job Description: LEAP-O Coordinator 

Purpose of the job:

  • The position will work closely with the Head of Manufacturing on driving the Business Excellence agenda, LEAP O, manufacturing process excellence, and functional process improvements.
  • Build Nuvoco's competitive advantage by introducing contemporary manufacturing practices, continuously monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying areas for improvement.

Job Description:

 

  • Drive Manufacturing improvement efforts and facilitate best practice sharing with the broader manufacturing leadership team.
  • This involves identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, establishing improvement initiatives,      and tracking progress towards operational goals.
  • Partner with site leaders to maintain site-level deployment metrics and Lean site full-potential assessment schedules.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase overall throughput.
  • Teach Manufacturing Excellence concepts to leaders and mentor them to deliver identified projects.
  • Apply and teach Six Sigma and Lean business process tools and methods to improve Engineering Management Processes.
  • Implement quality improvement programs and monitor the effectiveness of quality control measures.
  • Ensure the right management rhythm is in place to maximize the effectiveness of the function, working with ExCo&ExCo N-1s.
  • Work on mapping and designing of common SOPs for improving manufacturing effectiveness.
  • Identify skill gaps within the manufacturing workforce and coordinate training programs to enhance technical competencies and problem-solving abilities.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives related to process improvements, technology integration, and operational transformations within the manufacturing unit.
  • Overcome resistance and effectively communicate the benefits of changes to employees.

Qualification:

Diploma/Degree – Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical

Experience:

8 to 10 years experience in manufacturing operations, business excellence, or process improvement roles.
