Senior Engineer-Packing Plant Shift Incharge
- Enforce company safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for personal and team.
- Report near miss and engagement, unsafe conditions in STAR Portal as per targets.
- Supervise all packing plant activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the daily production plan.
- Monitor packing machines and equipment for efficient operation.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Minimize downtime by promptly addressing operational issues.
- Minimize bag brustage. Identify & close on priority.
- Reduce packing SPC and generate FI kaizens.
- Ensure products are packed according to quality specifications.
- Monitor bag weight, bag printing, and packaging standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department for inspections and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records as per BIS requirement.
- Allocate manpower effectively during the shift.
- Supervise Operators, TCs, Belt attender, Silo attenders, supervisors, PLC operator’s technicians, maintenance team and packing helpers.
- Train and guide employees on operational procedures, Leap-O and safety practices.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
- Report equipment breakdowns immediately.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure machines are cleaned and maintained according to schedules.
- Monitor consumption of packing materials.
- Maintain shift production reports, downtime logs, and inventory records.
- Ensure proper handover to the incoming shift with complete operational updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
