Job Description:
- To develop a safety-conscious workforce, including the sub-contractors’ personnel, through their active involvement in safety promotional activities
- To assist and advise the plant management in the management of safety functions by regular conduct of safety inspections of various workplaces & by suggesting suitable preventive & corrective actions aimed at elimination & control of various job hazards and reducing the risk to acceptable levels.
- Implementation of Contractor Management System in Mejia Cement Plant
- To prepare annual budgets for Safety and regularly monitor the expenses to manage the safety function within the allocated budgets
- To update & standardize the specifications of various PPEs in use at MCP and to regulate the issue & control of these safety gadgets for optimal utilization
- To advise Purchase & Stores on procurement & inventory of PPEs and also to inspect the PPEs on their arrival at Stores w.r.t. its quality, specifications & statutory approvals/ test certificates
- To conduct Training on safety topics like scaffold / electrical safety/ road safety/conveyor belt safety/safety in use of lifting tools & tackles etc. to all concerned
- Responsible for internal control effectiveness monitoring for the processes in the domain of job responsibility
- Ensure safe running of shift operation by monitoring and communication with the shift team.
- Implement company-wide safety initiatives, including safety management systems, safety committee, safety meetings, and safety audits
- Compliance with all OH&S-related legal requirements and liaisoning with the concerned statutory authorities
- Prepare and monitor the budget on safety and take suitable measures to optimize the cost of providing safety
- Ensure and maintain compliance with the implementation of Safety Improvement projects / Group Safety Best Practices
- Responsible for internal control effectiveness monitoring for the processes in the domain of job responsibility
- To follow up on all audit points and leading indicators compliances in time to time
- Conducted internal audits with cross functional dept and tracking the compliances.

Qualification:
-
B.E., B.Tech, Diploma/BSC With Diploma in Industrial Safety.
Experience:
5 to 10 Years
Key Differentiating Skills:
Plant safety inspection round.
Investigation of all types of accidents & RCA to reach CAPA
Safety Audit
Issuance of work permit system
HAZOP Study & FLRA
Participation in Plant Safety Committee meeting
Revision of existing HSE SOP's & initiation to ensure all safety legal compliance.
