Shift in-charge - Safety-Senior Officer

Job Description:

 

  • To advise and assist the plant management in fulfillment of its obligations, prevention of Personal injuries, maintaining safe and healthy working environment.
  • To collaborate with champion and & carry out plant safety inspections to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
  • Monitor and analyze safety leading and lagging indicator, prepare reports and present findings to Safety Head.
  • To conduct the Training on Nuvoco Safety Guidelines to all employees and contract workmen.
  • Conduct Safety Audits during and after any new/ improvement projects and submit the reports to the HODs
  • Regular monitor PPEs Stock and consumption.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries and cause of incidents/accidents.
  • To organize in association with the concerned departments, awards, campaigns, competitions and other activities, which will develop and sustain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and Procedures.
  • To arrange resources for smooth running of the departmental activities. Preparation of annual safety budget for RCP.
  • Develop and maintain site H&S Management System in accordance with Nuvoco H&S Guidelines, in liaison with Site Management and H&S Coordinator Cement.
  • Drive site H&S Management System implementation, Monitor site H&S performance.
  • Validation of the Risk Assessment & SOPs with concerned department.
  • To assist & co-ordinate in implementation of Safety Best Practices, Advise and assist the departments in identifying the Gap analysis and preparation of suitable action plans.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to enhance employee awareness, knowledge, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • To prepare the Annual calendar & conduct the departmental Mock drill
  • Appraisal for persons reporting in RCP. Identify the training need assessment for departmental people.
  • To prepare the objective for the year for self & Team aligned with Company Strategic Action Plans.
  • Stay updated with emerging safety trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending, and implementing relevant improvements.
  • Responsible for internal control effectiveness monitoring for the processes in the domain of job responsibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of safety initiatives and continuous improvement of safety performance.
