Role Purpose:
The Product/Process Quality In-charge is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing all quality parameters related to raw materials, process stages, clinker, and cement products. The role ensures adherence to BIS/ASTM/EN/Company standards and supports process improvements to enhance performance, product consistency, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Quality Control & Monitoring
- Continuously monitor raw mix, kiln feed, clinker, and cement quality parameters through laboratory and online analyzers.
- Ensure consistency in PSD, LSF, SM, AM, Free Lime, LOI, Blaine, Residue, and other critical KPIs.
- Implement corrective actions in real time in coordination with CCR and process team.
2. Product Quality Assurance
- Ensure all cement products comply with BIS / PPC / OPC / PSC / SRC and customer-specific requirements.
- Conduct physical and chemical tests such as compressive strength, setting time, consistency, and soundness.
- Validate product performance through internal and external test records.
3. Sampling & Testing Oversight
- Ensure proper sampling systems for raw meal, clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, fly ash, and additives.
- Review testing frequency, analytical accuracy, and calibration records of laboratory equipment.
4. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify process deviations and work with operations to maintain quality stability.
- Participate in RCA, FMEA, and Kaizen initiatives to reduce variability and improve performance.
- Monitor and optimize additive proportioning for cost and strength optimization.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to BIS certification requirements, calibration schedules, and documentation protocols.
- Maintain updated quality records, SOPs, and ISO/IMS documentation.
6. Interdepartmental Coordination
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Packing Plant, Logistics, and Marketing teams for product quality alignment.
- Support customer complaint investigations and provide technical corrective strategies.
7. Training & Technical Support
- Train lab chemists, CCR operators and field personnel on quality parameters and process impact.
- Support implementation of statistical process control (SPC) tools and automation systems.

- Cost optimization through additive utilization and process stability
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. (Chemistry) or B.Tech./M.Tech. in Chemical/Materials Engineering preferred
- Experience: 5–10 years in cement process and product quality control
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of cement chemistry and process control
- Hands-on experience with XRF, XRD, Blaine analyzers, sieving, and automation systems
- Familiar with BIS/ISO/IMS and quality compliance systems
- Analytical and problem-solving approach with decision-making abilities
- Leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Work Environment:
- Plant-based role with lab and field operations exposure
- Requires shift working based on operational needs
