Asst. Manager - Mechanical (CPP/WHR)

To ensure reliable and efficient mechanical maintenance of Captive Power Plant (CPP) and Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems, minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring adherence to safety and statutory norms.

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CPP/WHR mechanical equipment.
• Ensure smooth operation of key equipment such as:
  • Boilers (AFBC/CFBC/WHR boilers)
  • Turbines & auxiliaries
  • Pumps, compressors, fans, blowers
  • Conveying systems (belt conveyors, screw conveyors)
• Monitor equipment health and implement corrective actions to avoid failures.
• Prepare annual and monthly maintenance plans for CPP/WHR.
• Lead shutdown planning and execution, ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain spares inventory and coordinate with stores/procurement.
• Analyze breakdowns using RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and implement CAPA.
• Drive initiatives for:
  • Energy efficiency improvement
  • Equipment reliability enhancement
  • Cost optimization
• Implement best maintenance practices and benchmarking with industry standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, SOPs, and permit systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Boiler Act, Factory Act, etc.).
• Supervise technicians and contract workforce.
• Conduct training and skill development of team members.
• Ensure proper manpower utilization and shift management.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports.
• Work on SAP for maintenance planning, work orders, and inventory control.
• Prepare MIS reports for management review.
