This position is responsible for

• Effective working the plant by ensuring safety of people & machinery.
• Timely production of quality concrete as per the specification of the customers & its delivery.
• Ensure the regular & preventive maintenance of the plant & equipment.
• Ensure statutory compliance & maintain excellent relationships with local stakeholders.
• Ensure application of raw material Quality Control Procedures.
• Cost optimization through proper placement of resources

IX) Job Responsibilities:

Safety

• Responsibility of Safety of Plant, site & employees
• Ensure that Risk assessment is carried out in plant rigorously and its implementation
• Must be able to shut down the plant for any unsafe situation which can put life of people in danger
• Interact with Plant employees to understand effectiveness of Safety training they received.
• Ensure all the people under that plant including subcontractors understand safety standards and policies and is required he needs to arrange a training for them
• Daily Plant walk / round for min 1 hour to check  unsafe/hazardous conditions specially related to housekeeping, WAH, energy isolation, risk assessment etc
• Ensure required plant safety records are maintained.
• Conduct “Tool Box Talk” whenever required with the Plant Team.
• Interact with Sub contract personnel and check their hands on skills
• Work on improvement plan related to health & Safety aspects of the plant
• Conduct VFL in the plant and to lead by example
• Review customer site checklist and customer site visit at regular interval
• Monitor employees are trained before engaging them in the business
• Ensure contractors sign off CSM process
• Report all the incidents / accidents at plant and customer site to N+1 & N+2 immediately
• Ensure Housekeeping of plant is managed properly
• Ensure Area Ownership
• Indentifying Training Needs of plant employees
• Vendor & subcontractors meeting for safety & service
• Escalation of critical & non routine activity

Plant Targets

• Setting targets for plant and function wise target for Plant employees
• Monitor progress of plant targets and troubleshoot wherever required.
• Decide on strategy for achieving business results like EBITDA
• Volume target and its execution with 100% customer satisfaction
• Cost optimization/cost monitoring – production cost

Statutory compliance

• Ensure Plant is complying all statutory & legal requirements related to Plant and is valid for operating the plant
• Ensure that the mobile equipments comply to all statutory band legal requirements
• Review the Daily/Monthly reports  whenever required & submit as per the schedule
• Liasoning with Govt Body/Ensuring 100% compliance

Production & Delivery of Concrete

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for production of concrete
• Ensure schedule of production of concrete for Job Sites is optimized to minimize production cost and maximize service to customers. Scheduling of concrete production is developed in close cooperation with Sales Manager,
• Report of any errors incurred during batching i.e. batching inaccuracy mechanical issues…
• Ensure timely and according to procedures any incoming material at the plant in SAP system.
• Ensure with QC end of the month Inventory checks and report any variance.
• Communicate and prepare with QC for any VAP order
• Evening Meeting at plant on daily basis
• Coordination & collaboration amongst team members

Quality

• Ensure concrete getting produced is as per standard specified and approved
• Ensure proper quality checking is in place for incoming raw material and fresh concrete before getting dispatched from the plant
• Troubleshooting along with Plant Quality In case of any  quality related issues in  concrete supplied at customer site and  ensure that the same is resolved quickly
• Maintaining mix optimization
• BMR

Maintenance

• Plan preventive maintenance schedule and ensure Plant daily/scheduled maintenance are carried out. Indent required spares in advance
• Support Plant P&M In charge during maintenance shutdown of Plant
• Ensure that risk assessment is carried out by Plant P&M In charge for routine and non routine activities
• Maintain cost/cum

Cost Control

• Ensure min wastages of items and no pilferages in the plant
• Optimum utilization of resources like raw material, overheads , manpower etc
• All the cost is booked in respective month/minimize provision
• Deficit Control Protocol (DCP) is strictly followed
• All Company financial policies must be followed
• Reduce inventory losses & loss because of quality issues

People Development

• Guide Plant Team on achieving Plant Targets
• Ensure that plant environment is cordial and people are working as a  TEAMs
• People Development and motivating for Plant Team on a regular basis
• Identify Training needs of plant employees and ensure that they are getting trained
• Exhibit visual felt leadership (VFL)
• Maintaining discipline & order in the plant
• Team work

Plant Profitability & performance :

To achieve profitability and efficient performance of the plant by driving following key indicators

• Plant Safety(Zero Accidents)
• Raw material cost
• Production Cost
• Delivery  Cost
• Quality of Concrete Supplied
• Plant maintenance schedule
• Plant Overhead cost
• Manpower Management plus manpower cost

Administration

• Review the records of employees movement, receipt of material, mobile equipments movement
• Responsible for the asset and its movement.
• Schedule the daily pour as directed by Cluster Manager and share the resources to cluster plants as required
